Fun Facts: Characters
Blobster was originally going to use it/its pronouns, before Nora and Ada started accidentally wrote 'he' instead of 'it'.. Eventually it grew on them, and they didn't change it.
Did you know that there is a real Blob Fish Cafe? They actually have blobfish named Lady Swift and Lorcan, which is where we got the names! There's also one named Barry. Check out it's website here!
Did you know that Blobsters are really attracted to sodium? This is part of the reason he loves pickles. He even puts in half a gallon of salt when he makes his crepes!
Ms. Curly-Hair (Ms. Deranian) actually can't talk and write at the same time!
Fun facts: Original plots
Originally, Ada and Nora were going to make Blobster have a brother named Blobysterp. Blobster was abducted by Mike and John when he was little, (yes, they were going to be evil!) and had his memory wiped, so that scene where he didn't remember his parents, he was actually never going to remember them, until we decided to edit it when we didn't want to write another book. Bob and Mr. Technically were also originaly working for Blobysterp to hatch an evil plan in Adjectiville. His plan was going to be taking over the world and to train Blobster to be on their side since he had a ton of advantages in battle, like stretching into any shape he wanted.
Nora and Ada never plotted their books. They actually just wrote whatever they felt like, and eventually it evolved into a three-part book, The Blobster Chronicles. That's how the Rubber Chicken Resort came to be. Ada accidentally wrote 'bock' instead of 'bonk' and kept it!
Fun facts: Extras
The Big Book of Blobster is available in Ada and Nora's school library, the town's public library, Amazon, and their local bookstore!!
Ada and Nora made a menu in Spanish once when there were bored, and called it 'el blobsteria.' They served a bunch of different foods, and took three days to prepare! They served it to their families during Sukkot.
This is the invitation to El Blobsteria, the restaurant Ada and Nora made.
